Farm happenings
The chickens are now free rangers- meaning they're allowed to go all over the place. They're still skeptical and have stayed near the coop for the most part. Ronald is doing a good job of being their fearless leader by hiding in the coop most of the time. But he is taking his role more seriously now- he won't allow you to pick him up like he did before.
Theodores manhood has appeared out of no where and it's terrifying!!!! I left a message with the vet to see if he can come out this week and take care of it for us. As the boys were filling his pool today he got out and went for a leisurely stroll around the yard. A little trail of watermelon got him back in his pen. Once his testosterone problem is handled, we may be able to let him out more often without the leash. Well, I'm hoping.
We finally got a washing machine yesterday, used from a nice guy in peotone, so I've been washing and hanging clothes like crazy all afternoon! I will never take a washing machine for granted again!!!
On the foster care, were still working on the paperwork. It seems like it's going to be a lengthy process so were going to start with Safe Families. Melissa is coming out on Tuesday to see the house and finalize everything so we can begin the journey. The program is amazing and if you need more information just do a google search for "Bethany Christian Services Safe Families"
Please please please, invite yourselves over! Come visit us! Come hang out on the porch and chit chat!
