Farm happenings or Jens face happenings

 

I have a rash all over my face that started out as a heat rash but spread to my eyes last night. I woke up this morning to my eyes extremely swollen and burning and itching. Now my first thought is- what have I gotten from the calves???

 I've been up to my elbows in cottage cheese pus and diarrhea with these babies. To avoid the panic attack I stopped myself from googling human death diseases from cows and instead went to urgent care.

The NP had no clue what it was but assured me that as long as I was not rubbing the pus and diarrhea on my face, it wasn't the cause of it. So she loaded me up with prednisone and told me to stay on Benadryl all day. I know prednisone has a bad rap, but to me it's a miracle drug. Seven hours later and the swelling has gone down, the itching has subsided and it's feeling better. I did one dose of Benadryl and went into lala land for 4 hours and have decided I cannot take anymore during the day.

Doug took over midday chores for me- what a darling. I didn't ask him to clean out the pus wounds, I did that. But he still took care of everything else for me
