Farm happenings

Chickens are doing well and loving their free ranging.

Theodore and the chip bag trick is working wonderfully. I let him out everyday now and he runs in circles for a few seconds then comes to get a chip. Then runs in a circle for a few seconds and comes and gets a chip. He wasn't too keen on bethel and is terrified of sudden movements and the screaming kids. So I'm going to start bringing him out later in the day when the kids aren't playing.
...
Bethel on her line is a completely different cow than the Bethel we saw off her line. She's really respecting her boundaries and hasn't tried to go for a jog again. After speaking with my friend jon last night after the chase down, he said to lure them back with food. So I got some of the corn feed from the garage and put it in her bucket and brought it to her. It was a small amount but she went to town. There was nothing else in her world at that moment except the corn feed.

Kind of like when I'm eating coconut cream pie.

So the feed guy said I could give her small amounts of it everyday for a treat and I think that's what we'll start doing.

I acquired tons of sweet corn from treys dad so we've been shucking and blanching and freezing all day. The freezer is starting to fill up!!
