Farm happenings
I cooked our chicken today in our new pressure cooker/ canner. The greatest housewarming present I could ever have asked for. #inlove. So my plan was to just take the meat off and shred it and cook it in something. But after cooking, I tried it and the meat was extremely tender and really good. The pressure cooker tore it up pretty good so roast chicken was out of the question. I try to live by the motto- use it up, wear it out, do with it or do without. S...o with that said, we have an abundance of Frito lay salsas and cheeses. To use them up, I threw together some chicken tortilla soup with our loved chicken. That's for dinner tonight. I was also surprised with the amount of meat we did get, about 3 -4 cups
One of our white chickens started crowing today!! Well it was a weak crow, but a crow nonetheless.
So the kids are outside getting nesting boxes ready. They're using corn silk to add to the "comfort" of the bedding.
Bethel is coming in 3 days!!!!!
