Farm happenings

Where is the raaaaiiiinnnn??? I've been holding off on watering for a couple days hoping it was coming. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get out there to do it. I'm sure once I water, it will guarantee that the rain will fall shortly after. The cucumbers are coming in for pickles and I got one green pepper. The beans and peas are the size of tapestry needles (*|!£€€|#%€!!). And the tomatoes..... I don't even want to talk about it.

"Fluffy" the extre...mely large brown rooster we have, began his baby crowing today. I thought he was being murdered. Bethel would moo and then fluffy would crow. He has been named fluffy by Evan because he's big. He is not really fluffy, but really "meaty". So because there are 4 roosters out there, he will probably be the next one to join our family dinner table.

Bethel is in crazy town today. She has been bellowing, and restless all day. So after speaking with my farm mentors and finally the vet, it was determined that she is in heat. Crazy heat!! I had the wheel barrel out there picking up cow pies and she was dancing all around it, sniffing it, resting her head on it. So to those coming near Green Gables... Hide yo dogs, hide yo bulls, hide yo kids......ok that was a ridiculous play on the viral video going around with the bandanna guy.
