After two nightmarish days of moving- here is our morning view

This was the view from the back porch.  The corn had just been planted and you can see the perfectly lined rows with their first sprouts popping up.

And then in the evening, we had this

At the time, I thought that was pretty spectacular.  My future self would have told myself then "You ain't seen nothing yet."

Earlier in the day, we met our new best farmer friend, the farmer of all farmers- Lloyd.  He stopped by to bring me a pound of his beef that he raises down the street, and also to say hello and chit chat.  So while we were visiting, I showed him my plans.  I think that day, the only plan I had was getting the chickens out of the house in the coop.  Heres a picture of us going over ideas

You'll hear alot about Lloyd and his wife Regina as you read through.  We wouldnt be where we are today without them.  They have been the true definition of good neighbors- even if theyre a couple miles down the road.  (Out here in the country, we dont have "blocks", we have miles.
